- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Scheduled an appointment to have an ultrasound as my physician palpated a mass in my left breast that was obscured by tissue density in the mammogram. Was advised to schedule more than a week out since they were renewing the contract with my insurance. When I arrived, i was informed that the contract had not been negotiated and I would have to pay out of pocket for the procedure. No explanation for why they did not bother to inform me so I could reschedule, as they were aware that the contract was still "up in the air" at least 3 days prior to my appointment. So, unnecessary 1 hour drive, needless delay in determining what this mass is, possible negative outcome from delaying treatment and extra emotional distress in an already stressful time. Luckily I was able to find another provider that scheduled me immediately and were compassionate and professional. I would not recommend Epic to my worse enemy.November 06, 2017by Mary Miller
